We’ve Always Been Here For our Neighbors

As long as there’s been a Mt. Crawford, there’s been a Mt. Crawford Methodist Church. Methodists began gathering for prayer and ministry when our town was organized in 1825, and our congregation was officially chartered in 1840’s. Back then, we were part of a circuit (group) of eight churches all over Rockingham and Augusta counties-most of whom we still work closely with to this day! So being community-minded and team players is part of our DNA. In 1905, we began a partnership with our current sister church down in Mt. Sidney.

Our town has changed over its nearly 200 years, and through wars, epidemics, economic and demographic change and more, its neighborhood Methodist church has changed with it, always striving to do whatever it takes to make sure our neighbors now how loved they are by God, and us.

Today we are honored to work hand in hand with the Town of Mt. Crawford, the Mt. Crawford Ruritans, Scouts BSA, and our friends at Dayspring Church of the Nazarene to serve our community. Will you join us the next chapter of our mission and ministry?
